How is construction consulting different from hiring a general contractor?

Your general contractor is responsible for building the project. As construction consultants and owner’s reps, we work only for you, the business owner. We don’t perform the construction—we review scopes, budgets, schedules, and communication to make sure you’re getting what you paid for and staying aligned with your business goals.

Do you work with projects outside of ground-up construction?

Yes. Most of our work is tenant improvements and build-outs: retail suites, offices, medical spaces, restaurants, cafés, gyms, and light industrial spaces. If your project has drawings and a landlord or GC involved, we can most likely help.

At what stage should we bring you in?

The earlier, the better. Ideal timing is before you sign a lease addendum, GC contract, or major change order. However, we can add value at any phase—pre-lease, design, bidding, construction, or closeout—by clarifying risks and decisions from where you are now.

Can you help if my project is already in trouble?

Yes. We routinely step into projects dealing with delays, cost overruns, or owner–GC friction. We start with a focused assessment of schedules, contracts, and outstanding issues, then give you an actionable plan that protects relationships while protecting your position.

Do you only work locally?
